What is a disability?
A disability is an impairment that makes it difficult for you to perform activities of daily living no matter what your age. You can be affected in any of the following activities of daily living:
- Vision
- Speaking
- Hearing
- Walking
- Elimination (bowel or bladder functions)
- Feeding
- Dressing
- Performing the mental functions necessary for everyday life
- Life-sustaining therapy
- Cumulative effects of significant restrictions in two or more basic activities of daily living
